What is the SAP Process?
- A referral can be made by anyone; parent, teacher, school staff, or students can refer themselves.
- Parents will need to give signed permission before anyone can work with the student.
- Once, permission is given, the team will work to collect information from the parent and school personnel about the student’s strengths and concerns.
- Parents will be contacted with services and activities to help the student in school and/or services from a community agency.
- The SAP team will continue to work with parents and support the student. This includes communication with the parent and monitoring the student’s progress.
